Tax receipt for donations? Yes, we are a nonprofit organization.
Information supplied by this organization - We are the only place in Pinellas County we know of that passes out free diabetic test strips (following our weekly Diabetes Self Management Education classes). Distribution is made to those who cannot affort to buy their own -- the uninsured, underinsured or those just in a medical/financial jam. We are in tremendous need of donated test strips since this items is not budgeted for and we are solely dependent upon individual or corporate donations. We are currently out of strips with no money for this purpose for the near future and this is something all patients with diabetes, especially those we serve, need as urgently as insulin.
