Tennessee (TN) diabetes statistics, facts, and death rates:

  • 8 out of every 100 adults in Tennessee has diabetes, ranking it 6th highest in the nation for the ratio of people with diabetes to the general population.
  • 30.2 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in Tennessee are due to diabetes, ranking Tennessee 10th highest in the nation for diabetes-related deaths.
  • In 2005, 392,000 Tennessee adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007 12% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
