Minnesota diabetes statistics and death rates:

4.6 out of every 100 adults in Minnesota has diabetes, ranking it 51st (including Washington, D.C.) in the nation for the lowest ratio of people with diabetes to the general population.
25.8 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in Minnesota are due to diabetes, ranking Minnesota 29th in the nation for diabetes-related deaths.
In 2005, 208,000 Minnesota adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007 6% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
