Kentucky diabetes statistics and death rates:

6.7 out of every 100 adults in Kentucky has diabetes, ranking it 24th in the nation for the ratio of people with diabetes to the general population.
30.9 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in Kentucky are due to diabetes; ranking the 9th highest state in the nation for the number of diabetes-related deaths.
In 2005, 261,000 Kentucky adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007 10% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
