6 out of every 100 adults in Kansas has diabetes, ranking it 30th in the nation for the highest ratio of people with diabetes to the general population.
26.3 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in Kansas are due to diabetes.; ranking 35th in the nation for the number of diabetes-related deaths.
In 2005, 136,000 Kansas adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007 7% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
