Indiana diabetes statistics and death rates:

6.9 out of every 100 adults in Indiana has diabetes, ranking it 18th highest in the nation for the ratio of people with diabetes to the general population.
27.5 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in Indiana are due to diabetes; ranking the 18th highest in the nation for deaths due to diabetes.
In 2005, 373,000 Indiana adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007 9% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
