Georgia diabetes statistics and death rates:

7.2 out of every 100 adults in Georgia has diabetes, ranking it 12th highest in the nation for the ratio of people with diabetes in the general population.
22.9 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in Georgia are due to diabetes, ranking 36th in the nation for diabetes-related deaths.
In 2005, 511,000 Georgia adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007 10% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
