Florida diabetes statistics and death rates:

7 out of every 100 adults in Florida has diabetes, ranking it 14th in the nation for the highest ratio of people with diabetes in the general population.
21.4 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in Florida are due to diabetes, ranking 41st in the nation.
In 2005, 1,112,000 Florida adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007 9% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
