Colorado diabetes statistics and death rates:

4.9 out of every 100 adults in Colorado has diabetes, ranking it 48th in the nation for the ratio of people with diabetes in the general population.
17.9 out of every adult 100,000 deaths in Colorado are due to diabetes (48th in the nation).
In 2005, Colorado 157,000 adults were diagnosed with diabetes and by 2007 5% of the total adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
