Arizona (AZ) diabetes statistics and diabetes death rates:

  • Arizona ranks highest 27th in the nation for prevalence of diabetes - 6.2 people per every 100 in the state have diabetes.
  • 22.8 out of every 100,000 deaths in Arizona is from diabetes, ranking the state 37th in the nation for the number of deaths from diabetes.
  • In 2005, there were 295,000 people in Arizona diagnosed with diabetes, in 2007, 8% of the adult population had been diagnosed with diabetes.
