We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.

About Our Organization

IPump, may be the largest nonprofit, full-service diabetes assistance resource serving the entire U.S. but we are not some giant corporation with paid staff or unlimited resources. Therefore, we appreciate your patience and understanding of our limited financial resources and manpower.

Please be patient with us. Only one person is running this ship!

All of IPump's day-to-day and corporate business operations are carried out by founder Lahle Wolfe (who reports to an elected Board of Directors). She has already volunteered more than 5,500 hours of professional services (without compensation) and plans to continue doing so until such time as IPump can afford to hire help. Wolfe, a diabetic, is a single mom to four children and home schools two of her children because of their medical problems.

IPump cares about your own situation, but because we are the only nonprofit, full-service diabetes assistance organization in the country actively helping others in all 50 states we are flooded with dozens of applications each week, our phone rings constantly, and we receive more than 75 emails each day.  Unfortunately, donations (we do have many generous donors -- thank you!) are not matching the demand for our services so Ms. Wolfe must also dedicate time to grant writing in order to ensure IPump can continue helping others.  Already working 75 or more hours each week, Ms. Wolfe asks for your patience and your understanding if it takes a few days to reply to an email or phone call.

   Discount Diabetes Supplies

Sometimes we have to purchase supplies.  Because our funding is so limited we need to use the cheapest sources possible.  We have been using Hocks Online for a while and were pleased with their service and prices. Because of our good relationship with Hocks we agreed to accept them as IPump's first affiliate sponsor.  While it is not our policy to specifically endorse or recommend any company, we can state that we do use Hocks Online, and that for any order you place through one of their links on our site, they will make a donation to us.

Thank you Hocks, for contributing to our cause!
