Our Corporate Structure

iPump.org, Inc., a California Public Benefits Corporation, is a volunteer-based, charitable organization that was incorporated in June of 2006 in San Bernardino County, California.

iPump is governed by a board of directors and was founded for the purpose of providing assistance to qualifying persons with diabetes who may not otherwise be able to afford the cost of their medical care, medications and diabetes supplies.

We are a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity.

Our Funding Sources and Fundraising Practices

iPump.org is funded through public donations (from people like you) of in-kind supplies, volunteer services, with the bulk of financial contributions coming from our own Board of Directors.  We very much appreciate financial contributions from the public, foundations, and businesses.

If you would like assist us in fundraising you can join the Fundraising Committee (you personally do not have to generate income just develop fundraising strategies) or volunteer your grant-writing experience.

For more information see "Committees" and "Volunteer Opportunities."

Fundraising Practices

We DO:  follow up on leads given to us; approach businesses for the donation or diabetes supplies; allow certain "paid for" advertising on our site; accept financial donations in the mail and through our website; accept donations of new diabetes supplies and materials for our quilting program; pursue grants when possible.

We do NOT:  use professional fundraisers; mass-mail or phone solicit; purchase or otherwise obtain "potential donor" lists; hold raffles, bingo, contents, lotteries or sweepstakes.  We also do not sell any items that have been donated to us -- we give all in-kind donations made to us free to others in need.
