Thank you to all who not only care enough to take time to send us quilts, spare supplies and insulin pumps, but for all the wonderful donors who ship these items at their own expense. And, because iPump has been run a volunteer board of directors and one volunteer CEO who has already donated more than 10,000 hours of her time over the past three years.

Why We Still Cash Donations Not Just Supplies and Pumps
We give away all usable donated supplies free of charge to people in need. Our shipping costs for these supplies is enormous. We have expenses for licenses, registrations, legal expenses, business insurance, office space, telephone, utilities, Internet, marketing, and someday we would like to be able to hire paid staff so we will be eligible for grant money (without paid staff grant makers will not give to an all-volunteer organization).
In 2007 95.02% of all funds spent were given directly to others in need. Our combined program administration costs and business operating expenses were only 4.98% of our expenses. |
