Important Announcements About Our Quilting Program

Why are these children with diabetes smiling?
Because we gave them really cool quilts!

Effective 01/01/08 Shipping (User) Fee will be charged for free quilts.  We had hoped those ordering free quilts (or at least more people) would voluntarily contribute to the program to simply cover their own shipping costs. We have shipped more than 60 quilts but to date only four caring folks have contributed anything to this program.

Therefore, beginning January 1, 2008 we will be charging a User Fee to all those who order free quilts for their child with diabetes. The User Fee is $15.00 which must be paid before we will ship a free quilt. This helps cover the cost of packaging ($1.79 per mailing) and actual shipping costs (with tracking averages $12-15/quilt) not the cost of the quilt which we absorb.

The cost of shipping quilts puts a tremendous strain on our shipping budget for our clients who need diabetes supplies. The User Fee is not tax deductible as you are being given something of value greater than $15.00.

All User Fees will be used to support this wonderful program and are nonrefundable because they apply to shipping costs and not an actual purchase -- even if you hate the quilt we send (but you won't because we only send beautiful quilts!).

Where's my quilt?  We are still behind in sewing quilts due to a tremendous demand for free quilts. Please know that my daughters and I are sewing as fast as we can -- we hope to have all backordered quilts completed and shipped no later than December 31, 2007.  We thank you for your continued patience.

Diabetes supplies 30-50% off retail prices

We have been using Hocks Online for a while and were pleased with their service and prices. Because of our good relationship with Hocks we agreed to accept them as IPump's first affiliate sponsor.  While it is not our policy to specifically endorse or recommend any company, we can state that we do use Hocks Online, and that for any order you place through one of their links on our site, they will make a donation to us.

Thank you Hocks, for contributing to our cause!

We changed our quilting program.   As of August 1, 2007, instead of selecting quilts from an online catalog we now ask that you tell us about your child's interests and likes and dislikes.  We will then try to match them as closely as possible from our finished quilts. This will help us to get quilts out much faster than before.  Read more
