We Do Not Take Insulin or Medications But Here Are Places That Do

We are not able to take donated insulin or medications.
Just a polite reminder to our kind and well-intended donors. We are not licensed to redistribute insulin or prescription medications. Please do not send us these items because we cannot give them away.
iPump is not able to take donations of insulin; however, if you have insulin or pre-filled pens to donate, you can make your donation to Insulin for Life.
Insulin For Life collects excess unused insulin vials that can still be used and distributes them throughout developing countries in coordination with local centers and International Diabetes Federation’s “Life For a Child” program. Click here to see a list of their collection centers where you can mail your insulin.
You can also try calling free clinics in your local area or your local chapter representative for the JDRF and browse our blog under “Assistance Organizations” to see a list of clinic names we collected that take diabetes supplies and insulin.

Information supplied by this organization – This is a new program run by a pharmacist in Wyoming. We work closely with the Cheyenne Community Clinic. Our pharmacy provides prescriptions to the un/underinsured residents of Wyoming through our medication donation program. We can accept all diabetes supplies, syringes, prescription medications, and non-prescription medications if they are not expired and are in a sealed container or blister package. If we cannot use the medication, we make sure that some of the other agencies in town get it to give to their clients. By the end of the year we will have a site on the Wyoming Department of Health website. We do not provide tax reciepts for donations at this time.

Information supplied by this organization – We are the healthcare program of a charity in Martinsville, Henry County, and Patrick County, Virginia. We give free diabetes education classes, and try to find free or discounted diabetes supplies for the uninsured or underinsured people in our area. We used to be a manufacturing/textile center, but all the mills and most of the factories have shut down. When people lost their jobs, most also lost their health insurance and any prescription assistance. We need donations of items we can pass along to those in need including meters, test strips, books, magazines, etc.
We cannot dispense medicine (i.e., insulin or oral diabetes medications). If you need any additional information, please email or call Suzanne Britt at (276) 956-3587. Thank you very much.
