Tax receipt for donations?   Yes.  We are a non-profit, 501(c)(3)  organization and therefore are able to supply a tax receipt for the goods.

Information supplied by this organization – The Family Care Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center.   We receive some Federal funds, some money from grants, etc. and we treat the homeless, uninsured, indigent, and under-insured.

The physician can make an excellent evaluation of the patient, using advanced lab tests, etc. but if the patient cannot get the medicines or supplies to carry out the treatment plan, all is for naught.

For this reason, we would be grateful for any donations of new, unexpired diabetes supplies you can send that we can give to diabetic patients in need.

Please see our website, http:www.Familycarehealthcenter.org for more information about our organization.

Tax receipt for donations?   Unknown, please call and ask.

Information supplied by this organization - We can use alcohol pads, glucometers, and urgently need test strips for our patients who cannot afford them. We can also use diabetes medications, blood pressure medications, anti-depressants, anti-biotics, and other unexpired, unopened prescription medications. As we do not have a doctor here full time during the day to sign for free drug samples (our doctors are volunteers who see patients in the evening by appointment after their own office hours conclude) we rely on the donations of medications and supplies from others.  We also assist patients with prescription access to get medications free of charge.

Tax receipt for donations?   We are a nonprofit organization.

Information supplied by this organization – We are a free clinic in Des Moines, Iowa and see many diabetic patients. We pay for the majority of their syringes, test strips, and other diabetes supplies because our patients do not qualify for any other kind of assistance. We also refer diabetic patients on to specialists and help bear the cost of referrals.

Financial contributions as well as donations of non-expired, new diabetes supplies including syringes, glucose meters, test strips, ketone strips, lancets and lancing devices would go a long way towards helping us continue to offer our services to diabetics in need.
