Where Our Diabetes Supplies Come FromWe are able to provide assistance to people with diabetes in need because of the generous donations of diabetes supplies that we receive from others. Almost all of our donated supplies and insulin pumps come from other people who have diabetes that not only understand what you are going through but cared enough to send supplies that we can pass along to our clients for free. |
Why We Do Not Use Income FormulasMany people who make even more than just a few dollars over government poverty standards do not qualify for assistance from government programs or from other charities that use strict income guidelines. It is for children like Brooke (pictured on the right) that we do not use pre-determined income-based formula to determine eligibility. Instead we give you the chance to tell us your entire story, not just your income. Find out more about qualifying from our FAQs We place the most emphasis on why you are having a hard time and not your income. We understand that even people with insurance and steady income can have high medical bills or other circumstances beyond their control that make it hard to purchase insulin and supplies. We offer two types of assistance: free diabetes supplies and recertified insulin pumps. Read more
Please do not contact us with questions about whether or not you qualify for assistance. We are not able to tell you over the phone or in an email if you qualify -- we must see an application to determine if and how we can help you.
Disclaimer: Submitting an application is not a promise or guarantee by iPump.org, Inc. that an applicant will be approved. Our ability to help others may be restricted by available program funding and donated supplies we have on hand at any give time. Applications are reviewed by iPump.org's program director and approved by the board of directors based upon eligibility, need and individual program funding available. We offer no promises or guarantee that we can meet every need of all applicants but we try to help as best we can. |
